Volunteering at Sarehole Mill

Sarehole Mill is a 250 year old working watermill famous for its association with author J.R.R Tolkien and also for an award winning volunteer team. 

When you visit the Mill you’ll probably spot our Heritage Interpreters talking to the public about the site, sharing stories and directing people around the Mill. These wonderful volunteers often get involved in our events programme too.

Our Garden volunteers single-handedly keep the stunning gardens around the Mill Pond looking wonderful and help Sarehole have such a welcoming feel to it.
