Terms and Conditions of your group visit

Payment Terms

• The charge for your group visit is per person with a maximum number of attendees within the group.
• If your group number falls below the minimum number of guest for your visit, you will still be liable for the minimum payment
• Full payment is required in advance; you will be invoiced at the time that we confirm your booking.
• Payment can be made by such credit cards as are accepted by Birmingham Museums Trust (BMT).
• Refunds are not available within 4 weeks of the booked date, unless the cancellation is due to venue closure as a result of COVID 19 restrictions and guidelines.

Cancellation policy

• All cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellations by any groups will incur the following charges: Within 4 weeks of visit – 100% of visit cost.
• If you have pre-booked a guided tour and the guide is absent (i.e. through illness) we will always endeavour to find a replacement or alternative, though we cannot guarantee that this will be possible. This may result in changes to your visit arrangements at short notice, and we will attempt to notify you in advance if we feel that your experience with us may be affected. Regrettably, there may be occasional extreme circumstances that we cannot overcome and we may have to cancel your tour as a result.
• If Birmingham Museums Trust (BMT) have to cancel your visit due to COVID 19 restrictions and guidelines, you can rebook or cancel your booking and receive a full refund.

Arrival

• We strongly recommend that you arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of your planned visit.
• Please report to the museum reception, where you will be met by a member of the team.
• If your group is due to be arriving later than expected, please call the Venue.
• If you arrive late for a pre-booked organised tour we will endeavour to maintain your visit arrangements but your tour may have to be shortened or cancelled all together in which case you will still be liable for the full cost of the tour.

Conduct and Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the supervision and conduct of all members in your group at all times.
• Severely disruptive or unacceptable behaviour will lead to your group being asked to leave the museum and no refunds will be made on any part of the visit.
• You will be liable for any damages caused by the actions of any person within your group.
• All safety guidelines relating to COVID-19 must be followed, an update of these government guidelines will be issued to your group before your visit.

Staff

• Any abusive, threatening, violent, intimidating or rude behaviour towards staff will not be tolerated and your group faces being removed or criminal proceedings.
• If during your visit you have any concerns, the Museum team will assist you in any way they can.
• If you have booked a tour and the guide is absent (e.g. through illness), we will endeavour to find a replacement or alternative for you and will attempt to notify you in advance if we feel that your experience with us may be affected.
• Regrettably, there may be occasional extreme circumstances that we cannot overcome and we may have to cancel your tour as a result.

Other

• BMT accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to the property of visitors whilst at the museums

It is your responsibility to ensure that all adults within your group understand these Terms and Conditions.
