Tastes of Time
Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery Celebrating Birmingham Food Identity 24 Oct - 15 Nov Drop inAbout Tastes of Time
Explore what Birmingham Food Identity means to you with our display and drop-in workshops.
Come to the Industrial Gallery to take a look at our display and listen to some of our oral history archive. The display is open from 24 October, Wednesday - Sunday from 10am - 5pm until 15th November.
In this space, we will be exploring healthy eating through drop-in workshops, using the Eatwell plate. The Eatwell plate is a common visual aid used for thinking about healthy eating in the UK. However, we understand that everyone's Eatwell plate is unique — your balanced diet can vary based on factors like ethnicity, age, health conditions, and personal preferences.
Join our drop-in workshops, where you can cut, stick, draw, and collage your experience of a balanced diet, facilitated by our Public Health Research Officer. The workshops will take place selected Thursdays at 2pm-4pm and Saturdays at 11am-1pm - see full list of dates below.
