About Late Opening: Wildlife Photographer of the Year
Join us after dark to explore Wildlife Photographer of the Year in a special late opening at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, in partnership with Birmingham Light Festival.
The world-renowned exhibition, now in its sixtieth year and on loan from the Natural History Museum in London, will feature exceptional images that capture fascinating animal behaviour, spectacular species, and the breathtaking diversity of the natural world. Using photography's unique emotive power to engage and inspire audiences, the images shine a light on stories and species from around the world, encouraging a future of advocacy for the planet. Wildlife Photographer of the Year is the most prestigious photography event of its kind, providing a global platform to showcase some of the best photography talent from around the world for nearly 60 years.
During this special late opening, you’ll have the opportunity to chat with our friendly team, learn more about nocturnal creatures from the photographs, and get hands-on with our taxidermy collections.
This event runs from 6pm until 9pm (please pre-book an entry time slot). In the Waterhall building at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery (the entrance is on Edmund Street).
Pre-booking essential.
