Workshop: Drypoint Printmaking with Chine Collé
In this hands-on workshop, you'll:
• Learn how to plan your print and transfer your drawing onto an etching plate
• Use professional drypoint tools and scribes to carve your design into acetate
• Explore inking techniques to create varied effects
• Use a traditional flatbed etching press to bring your designs to life
• Experiment with Chine collé—a technique that layers delicate tissue papers onto your plate to add colour and texture
This workshop is suitable for all skill levels. If you love drawing, sketching, and expressive mark-making, you’ll feel right at home.
Admission to the Rembrandt exhibition is included in this workshop, allowing you to immerse yourself in the inspiring prints on display while learning the techniques Rembrandt used to create these works.
