Join us for a unique opportunity to hear Carlos Acosta, Director of Birmingham Royal Ballet, and artist Curtis Holder in conversation, chaired by Ian Sergeant, Senior Curator (Global Majority Collections) at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
Curtis won the Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year competition in 2020, winning a commission to draw Carlos’s portrait for the city’s collection. This conversation will offer a unique insight into the process of working together on the portrait, and their own experiences as leading creative artists.
Curtis Holder’s portrait of Carlos Acosta can currently be seen at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery alongside a wider display of his work.
