About Black STEAM
Blast Fest presents the 11th Black STEAM Showcase celebrating Black brilliance and living history makers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics!
In honour of Black History Month, Blast Fest is marking over a decade of dedication to building Black STEAM futures in Birmingham and beyond. This year’s event theme is Change Making, spotlighting incredible people from the community who 'make things happen' so others can reach their potential.
Join an inspiring afternoon filled with engaging talks, activities, and performances to celebrate community achievements and be motivated by the stories of those paving the way for brighter Black STEAM futures.
Event details
- Free, registration required.
- On Sunday, 3rd November, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. In the thinktank theatre.
- Black STEAM ticket holders will have free access to the Science Museum from 12:30pm until the showcase begins at 2:00pm.
- The talks are ideal for audiences aged 12+ from all backgrounds, fostering intergenerational connections and sparking curiosity in lifelong STEAM learning.
