Volunteering at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery

Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is housed in a stunning Grade II* listed landmark building which has welcomed millions of visitors over the years. It has a passionate volunteer team who contribute their time and skills to ensure it is an engaging and welcoming space for all.

Volunteers get involved with a whole host of activities, from engaging visitors in the galleries through conversations and object handling to assisting with events, workshops, and gathering valuable visitor feedback. Behind the scenes, volunteers assist with conservation cleaning or volunteer with our curators.
